“Singer Lily Allen has pledged never to mime at a live concert, saying it would be embarrassing if she failed to get the words right. The 24-year-old singer is set to tour Down Under where Britney Spears came under fire for lip-syncing during her Circus gigs.

“I have never ever, ever lip-synced in my life. I think I would be even worse than Britney,” The Sun quoted Allen as saying.

“I would get it so wrong. At least when I get the lyrics wrong you can hear me get them wrong! If you could see my mouth saying something completely different as to what came out of the speaker that would be embarrassing!” she added.”

“Britney Spears will remain under the watchful eye of her father –

The judge didn’t specify how long the conservatorship will remain in place, but lawyers involved in the matter tell TMZ they expect it to last somewhere between six months to a year.

TMZ has learned action may be taken next month to begin the process of bringing the conservatorship to an end — at least part of it.

Britney’s dad, Jamie Spears, will continue to receive a $16,000-a-month payment for his duties. Andrew Wallet — the co-conservator — was also granted a $174,569.10 payment for services rendered between July 2009 and November 2009.

The judge also authorized Britney’s conservatorship to kick out close to $300,000 in attorney’s fees.

The next hearing is set for January 14th.”

Well there doesn’t seem to be much of a point in extending the conservatorship, but, then again, their reasoning for doing so isn’t going to be released, so we’re just going to have to hope that it’s for the best.

Britney Spears has beaten David Beckham, Tony Blair and Simon Cowell to take the crown of the most-searched for celebrity of the Noughties.

Spears has had an up-and-down decade emcompassing smash hit records, the birth of two children, divorces and a high-profile breakdown.

Ask Jeeves said it got an average of 20 million Britney-related searches every month for the past decade.

In second place was the decade’s most sought-after man – Osama bin Laden. David Beckham was third and Princess Diana, perhaps surprisingly considering she died in 1997, was fourth.

Ask Jeeves spokeswoman Nadia Kelly said: “Some names are popular searches for a year or two and then no more but a select few have been topping our search lists for up to a whole decade.

Honestly these are pretty good compared to some of her other candid photos, but I really wish the paparazzi would stop following her around everywhere. She can’t even go to a convenience store without being tailgated. Paps need to get a life, really.
