According to one report, Britney is the biggest star of the decade:

“Pop princess Britney Spears has been voted as the biggest star of the past decade as per a new Internet poll.
Spears, 28, who shot to fame at the end of the 1990s, has dominated the charts and newspaper headlines throughout the past 10 years, reports Contactmusic.
And visitors to PopEater.com found her to be the 00s’ top celebrity.
Thirty-five per cent of more than 25,000 voters placed the singer above actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie, who drew 26 per cent of the votes.”

Fox 411 agrees in their own report, in which they say:

“It’s hard to stay interesting.
It takes a combination of talent, vulnerability, stupidity, guts, beauty, brains and determination to keep the public’s attention.
Britney Spears has that unique combination, and in the 2000s, she was the most talked about celebrity of all, bar none.
From her relationship with Justin Timberlake to mothering two children to a dizzying downward spiral to an amazing career comeback, Britney did it all.

“The popular tourist destinations of Kottayam and Alappuzha in Kerala were Tuesday evening agog with rumours that Britney Spears was arriving on a private visit with her kids.

Tomy Pullikattil, who owns a fleet of houseboats on the Vembanad Lake, said he had been flooded with phone calls asking if the news was correct.

“I must have received a 100 calls including from abroad asking if Britney is indeed visiting. Even the district collector called me to inquire if it was true, and to all I have given the same answer – that I too have heard about it. I also got a few calls from anxious resort owners from Kumarakom,” said Pullikattil.

Meanwhile, a report from London said the pop star has apparently cancelled the visit after learning that the paparazzi have already reached here.”

“Now she has undergone a herbal detox and had a three-hour class about what oils work on various skin conditions.”

British singer Lilly Allen appeared in the latest edition of the Russian versoin of Harpers Bazaar magazine, in which she was asked to compare Britney Spears and Lady Gaga. Here are her responses:
