A new song by Britney titled “Follow My Fingers” has recently been added to the ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers) database.

Now this song has been registered on BMI since 2008, but the fact that it was just recently added to ASCAP leads to speculation about its appearance on Britney’s next album.
If that’s true, I can’t wait to hear the mastered version!

“Satisfying her need to drop a little cash, Britney Spears headed out on a shopping spree in Beverly Hills on Wednesday afternoon (January 7).

Showing off her dark brunette locks, the “3” singer browsed through a local antique shop’s selections while joined by her trusty security staffer.

Meanwhile, Miss Spears recently chatted with Look magazine about her body appearance – confessing that she’s never totally satisfied with her physique.

Brit tells, “I’m such a perfectionist, which means I’m never satisfied. I always strive for things to be better. I think you can be happy with the person on the inside but on the outside you’re always striving for more. But that’s how you end up driving yourself crazy.”

Asked if she considers herself a sex icon, the 28-year-old replied, “I don’t see myself like that at all. I don’t know why. To me, someone who is sexy is someone with confidence, who carries themselves properly and is comfortable in their own skin.””

I’m a huge fan of all her work on Blackout, and I can’t wait to hear this new stuff!

Unfortunately, Britney didn’t win either of the two awards she was nominated for at the People’s Choice Awards. She lost the Favorite Female Artist category to Taylor Swift while the Favorite Pop Artist title went to Lady Gaga.
We all know that awards shows are rigged, though. I watched part of the show and it seems like they only chose people who were actually present at the ceremony as winners in the categories that they actually presented (Britney was not present, and they failed to present the Favorite Pop Artist award during the airing).

Oh well, we all know that Britney truly deserved the two titles.
Highlights of the show include Mariah Carey’s bizarre drunk acceptance speech in that non-fitting dress, by the way.

“KIIS FM is reporting that we’ll be hearing some fresh new music from Britney Spears as early as this March!

The radio station dropped the bomb today, and it’s also being reported that Britney will release a new album several months after that.
