“Director James Cameron experienced life under the intense media spotlight when Britney Spears moved into the house next door.
The filmmaker has grabbed his fair share of headlines, thanks to the Terminator movies, Titanic and his current box office blockbuster Avatar, but he had managed to avoid the attention of the paparazzi until the pop princess snapped up a multi-million dollar house adjacent to the Malibu, California home he has owned since 1992.
Cameron tells Maxim magazine, “I never met her. My neighborhood loathed that she was there because we had all the paparazzi hanging around and climbing over the fence.”
But the filmmaker insists he was more intrigued than incensed by Spears’ presence: “It never really bothered me. I thought it was kind of interesting. I went over a bunch of times and knocked on the door and left notes. I was on good terms with her household staff and her security people.”"
