Britney Spears must be hoping lightning strikes a third time. She’s confirmed yet another dance floor-friendly single for the third release of “Femme Fatale,” “I Wanna Go.”
“I Wanna Go,” produced by longtime collaborator Max Martin (responsible for #1 hits “..Baby One More Time” and “3″) with Shellback and Savan Kotecha, is set to be official third single off Spears’ latest platinum disc. The song is set to impact in June, just days before she kicks off her “Femme Fatale” tour.
Chris Marrs Piliero, who directed Ke$ha’s “Blow” video as well as clips for the Black Keys and Yellowcard, is set to helm the video.
“So excited 2 announce that the fan favorite #IWannaGo is my next single from Femme Fatale! Shhh, it’s my fav too!” Spears tweeted.
“I Wanna Go” follows up the #1 single “Hold It Against Me” and it’s follow-up, “Till the World Ends,” which hit #3 on the Hot 100. Along with a hot-selling remix featuring Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj, “Till the World Ends” also earned Spears the highest radio audience of her career.
Spears kicks off her “Femme Fatale Tour” with Nicki Minaj, Jessie and the Toy Boys, and Nervo beginning June 16th in Sacramento, CA

“Kevin Federline was spotted on daddy duty when he and son Jayden James rooted for Sean during a Little League game in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 13. That sound you just heard was the world letting out a collective “Aww!”
The slugger-in-training Sean warmed up with a bat before changing into his Westhills Yankees Little League uniform to play ball. Papa Kevin wore a matching jersey, proving that there is nothing sexier than a man who takes care of his kids.”

New York, NY – Britney Spears announces her seventh studio album is titled Femme Fatale. The iconic global superstar’s title Femme Fatale is a tribute to bold, empowered, confident, elusive, fun, flirty women and men. It’s not a conceptual album, Spears is letting the music speak for itself. She’s worked hard on it for two years and she considers it to be her “best album to date,” true to where she is now personally and professionally.
Femme Fatale (Jive Records) is executive produced by Max Martin and Dr. Luke.
Spears is peerless among her contemporaries. Throughout the years, Britney has consistently released hit after hit for over a decade, selling close to 70 million albums cumulatively worldwide.
Few artists have earned the distinction of having five No.1 debut albums, and 24 Top 40 hits. She most recently set a new one-day precedent for single sales with her current No. 1 hit song, “Hold It Against Me.” Jonas Åkerlund shot the video for the song.
Details on the video premiere and album release date are forthcoming.
